I currently have the black rvq that mounts to the side of the trailer which plugs into the low pressure connection on the trailer. It’s very convenient, easily setup,taken down and stowed but as of late it does not seem to be working as well. I was looking to replace it with the Camp Chef 3 big gas grill which has three burners and a grill box sits over two of them or the Campco stainless steel rvq. I like the idea of the Camp Chef extra burner and larger grill but worried about storage set up and break down (I want to stow it all in the front pass through). Anyone have the Camp Chef big gas grill 3 and if so how do you like it? How about the camco stainless rvq or any other options? I want to be able to hook it to the low pressure port on the camper as I don’t want to lug around another tank.

I used our Q220 for the first time on a recent 10 day dry camping trip. I was very happy with how it worked. My concern when I bought it was having to use the small canisters but they lasted considerably longer than I had expected.

I have the Coleman Roadtrip (I think the LXX version) and I'm less pleased with it than I expected. The scissor stand is fantastic, and I like that I can swap in a grate to use one or both burners as a stove. Set-up and tear-dow/storage is quick and easy.Where it falls down for me is in the low lid and the fact that I cannot get it to get below about 320º F. It also get dirty inside very easily, causing constant flare-ups. The previous grill was a ~$40 table-top rig from Wal*Mart; we got years out of that thing and I think I may go back to it. Really.My dad has two Weber Qs. They seem okay, but if I ever went that route I'd be sure to get the largest model.

I've used the Olympian products for over 15 years and love them. My latest is the Olympian/Camco 5500 Stainless Steel with dual mount systeme (stand for ground or RV mount). No flare up with a drip plate over the burners, very even heat, and very hot using the low pressure connection. I paid over $240, and now can be purchased on Amazon or CW for under $200.

Has anyone used the Fuego portable? I hae a Weber 220 for the 5th wheel but I needed something very small for the truck camper.

I just got a Fuego but haven't used it yet.

this is the grill I'm talking about, apparantly designed by an ex apple employee

Thanks everyone for the input. I decided to go with the camp chef for the extra burner and I think it will stow better in the front pass through.

How did you mount yours to your tt?

My Camp Chef stove is mounted on a custom trailer that I built for my Avion C-11 camper. It sits much higher than most travel trailers so I have a 2" tube that rides in a receiver tube under the frame. The 2" tube is about 7' long so it allows me to pull the stove way out away from the trailer to cook on. If I were to install one on my 34' Avion trailer I would put a slide in tube similar to the one I currently have, but I would put it on top of the frame and I would make the stove fold upwards to get it above the battery box and LP cylinders, for storage.

And, another reccommendation for Weber! I've got the small one now, would upgrade to 220 if this one ever dies...which isn't likely!

I have a modified Camp Chef stove that I slide in under my trailer and it was able to cook 3 Dutch Oven Cobblers at about the same time. They are impressive stoves, especially with the griddle.

I've only used ours twice now but I found it big enough for us. I was very happy bringing our full size Weber but traveling to Yellowstone next week I was in need of one I can easily put away every night. I was worried about getting the temp down after reading reviews, but I was able to cook some pork chops last night low enough they didn't dry out. The side tables haven't been used yet but the starter and temp gauge is nice.

im throwing in my hat....weber q100. have had it since they came out. only issue i had was the propane cylinders, bought the conversion to fit on the 30# tanks and its the best little one i have owned. literally just purchased the #6549 cart and #6550 cover for it.

yes it is a bit small, but good for 2 people or more depending on what you need on the grill and how much you need to cook on the campstove.

I HAVE THE CAMP CHEF 3 BIG GAS GRILL AND IT IS GREAT HOOKS UP TO LOW PRESSURE.More BTU THAN ANY GRILL.
