Grounding issues

So here I am again. Bought a surge protector for the electric box. Everything seemed to be going ok. No zapping etc. Then.......I had put my Dish on pause, and then the zapping started again. What would cause this? On the surge protector that is connected to my 30 amp connector, the red right is on. WE reversed the polarity as it was backwards. Everything was going good., But we did notice once we took Dish off of pause, the zapping began again, so I put the damn thing back on pause this time for 9 months. I don't watch all that much TV anyways. But what would be causing this? I will have to contact National General and tell them the rig has to go into the shop cause I am not mechanical w/ this. I can't find one RV park in CA for extended stay from the border of CA to San Diego. But I sure the hell am worried about fire. Suggestions please. Thanks, Susan
