When I lived in Japan, I noticed most of the the Hilux pickups had a 1,000 kg payload decal on the tailgates. That is roughly 2,200 lbs. payload rating. Some research showed the springs to be the same as the Toyota pickups in the states had. They have very low speed limits and very short distances to travel, on average. No white knuckledrives are just that are not acceptable anywhere Hiluxes go as fast as Tacomas. No eventually stops especially in Japan. I thought Japan was full of Vans and small trucks? Well Hiluxes do well carrying heavy loads at speed in Australia
