Yes, get it weighed at a CAT scale so you know how much weight is on each axle. You will end up with something like this:

Your AF 996 is about 350 lbs more than my AF 990, most of which will end up on the rear axle. I would be surprised if you are under 8,100 on the back and 12,800 lbs total with full water, gear, and people.
