He has a 1 ton SRW.
Even with his upgraded tires, he's only got 7500lbs of capacity on the rear axle.
With an AF996 back there he is likely to exceed 8000lbs, as sky_free's weight tag clearly shows. After adding 350lbs for the 996 and subtracting for the two extra wheels and tires of sky_free's DRW truck, I expect it to come out around 8200lbs.
That's 700lbs over the combined tire ratings.
The OP is going to need to upgrade his wheels and tires to 19.5's. Some sort of helper spring, and airbags will also be a must to level the truck.
It will never be ideal, but others have done this and are happy with the results. Of course many also eventually upgrade to DRW trucks, and when they do, they come back here preaching the Gospel of the Six Wheels, "Lawdy, Lawdy, I have seen thee light!"
Law enforcement in the USA only pulls over RVs if they are driving dangerously, or are an obvious illegal configuration (i.e. double trailers in states that do not allow it). You'll never have your registration weight or door pillar sticker challenged.
