Click For Full-Size Image.The thinking of weight regulators, scale house personnel etc is influenced by the truck door sill tags they see everyday in their work.
The axle GAWR's on large commercial trucks add up to the GVWR on the door tags, our small trucks for some reason do not follow the same logic, it causes a lot of confusion.
Front 13,200
Two rear axles 20,000 plus 20,000
The GVWR is the sum of the axles GAWR... 53,200
They install the proper rated tires to match the axles and your good to go...
This is the proper method, what happens to our trucks is anyones guess.
