Krylon Fusion works wonders, and the discoloration won't return like it will on bare plastic.
My vent was badly discolored. It is the same exact style as the OP's.
I replaced it, and painted the new one before installing it.
About 5 years ago I painted the door trim on my 2010 model year truck camper. It still looks perfect.
