Had our roof coated 2003 30' Prowler

The roof on our TT needed work. Our Repair facility recommended we use Dicor's Coolcoat. Took 2 gal and a qt of primer. Kind of expensive but you would not believe how much cooler the inside is. In Florida that is a great extra.

  • Yeah Tom, the acrylic roof coatings are great to keep down the heat and afford some protection to the membrane. I used a different brand but the Dicor with the ceramic beads should work out very well.
    Thanks for your post.
  • OP here. Please DO NOT take over my post. I started this to let others know of my satisfaction with this Dicor product!
  • My roof was cooler and quietier during a rainstorm after coating mine. Thicker is better for roofs, and will slow the heat transfer.

Glad that you are happy with the new roof coating.

Its different then liquid roof.... But the dead is done...... dont worry until it fails...
Have you looked at the material used for this coating? Why would it fail? Dicor has a pretty good track record in the RV industry, I doubt they are in the business of making substandard product.

    Edit spelling...
  • Was done by the repair facility. But they had it done in one day. Takes two coats. CW sells it and their website has good info on it. We decided to use this product for the fact that it keeps the interior cooler. Really works.
  • Cool (yes pun intended) :) Any before and after photos? How long did it take to apply?
