I hope you are able to get them apart. You might want to put a straight edge on the post to verify you don't have a bent jack issue. I couldn't see my bent jack just looking at it.
I had a similar issue a couple years ago. I did get it apart but my issue was that leg was slightly bent, less than 1/8" in the full length.
I had a harder time getting it back together as the lead screw was not centered in the tube due to the slight bend. I got it back together with new grease and since my problem wasn't rust, it was still a bit stiff.
This past year it got a bit worse to the point the motor would blow the fuse. I found that both right side jacks are now bent. Since I haven't bumped the camper while loading, I am assuming that at 1900# each, the 4500s aren't heavy duty enough for the camper.
Since Happijac jacks are over $300 each and the old ones hand crank easily I'm not wasting money with a replacement jack.
I'm going to do it manually until I can replace all 4 with a set of the 4800s or a set of Reico's.
