Happijack help

I'm trying to lower my happijack 4500 jacks and nothing happens. The green light on the remote lights up but nothing happens when I push the buttons. I called happijack and they absolutely will not answer the phone. I got an answering machine at tech support but they won't return my call. HELP!!!!
  • you do know you can use manual cranks on them in an emergency?

Ok thanks guys, I didn't have a manual so now I'm ok.

PS my neighbor saw mw standing there with the remote under my chin and told me I did.nt need any more beer! :B

I knew i was going to get razzed about this but was hoping not to take away from your issue untill it got resolved. So here it is, Youtube
Jump to the 9:20 mark and you will see my MN brain has not suffered from a case of frostbite. The PO of my truck camper showed me this trick but he could not explain it. I have to use it from time to time. It may work with a belly full of beer as well. Check it out.
OP, hope you got yours working.

My wireless remote acted up last month. I had a green light but the jacks would not operate. I replaced the remotes battery and reinitialized it and it started working.

    From the manual.
To initialize the REMOTE, press the “ALL UP” and “ALL DOWN” buttons at the
same time. The indicator light on the REMOTE will turn green. Then press the
“AUX IN” and “AUX OUT” buttons simultaneously to activate the receiver. If the
indicator light does not light, open the REMOTE by removing the six screws
from the back and replace the AA battery inside or plug in coiled cord between
REMOTE and RECEIVER. Pressing “ALL UP” and “ALL DOWN” will turn the
    REMOTE off.

Thanks, I'm printing this one and putting it in my wallet.

As your standing by your jacks, place the remote on the underside of your chin and try it. This may sound strange, but the fluid in your head amplifies the remote signal to reach the receiver.
    Good luck. Keep us posted.

OK and how many beers does one need to consume before trying this? :)
  • Our jacks worked fine when we took the TC off the truck back in the spring. When we started to put it back on, one side of our jacks had quit working. LEDs on the remote worked as if normal. There are 2 fuses on the relay board, one for each side. Replaced the one for the right side, it has been working since.

Ours are '05 models so may be different than yours.

  • I take it that the jacks are in the up position?

Verify that the batteries are fully charged. Jacks won't operate on a partially charged battery.

Have you tried flipping the manual switch and does the jack drop under slight pressure?
