- PowerdudeExplorerThe Ram nugget has a Cummins ticking center.
That's a good enough reason to buy it for most people.
Nissan has also figured that one out. New Titan XD will feature a Cummins engine.

Grew up with FORD trucks
Owned only FORD trucks......except for one hiccup when I was broke---1978 Dodge PU.
Hated that truck.....really happy when I got rid of it.
Back to Fords.
Then 2006 decided to hit the road FT.
Just could NOT buy a POS FORD.
So I bought a Cummins with a Dodge RAM wrapper.
Smile has been on my face since....especially when towing 14K 5vr up 7% grade
Whoo-Hoo!!
Course with FORD owning Cummins.....can't wait until they (OK it's isn't real but I can dream)
Almost X2!
Only Ram I have owned is my current TV!
Why would you want a Ford wrapper on that Cummins, the Wrapper has caught up with the engine!!!
Do you ever ask why, Ford needs a F450 to match a Ram 3500! - Cummins12V98Explorer III

I bought my first 98 12V because of the Cummins engine. I figured the truck would fall apart around it. Not hardly I sold it to my Son with 380K still rock solid. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIGrew up with FORD trucks

The Hemi is a solid towing machine with respectable mpg - averaged about 12.7mpg at 62mph hand-calculated over the last 750 miles of towing the trailer. And a little "hemi-foot" from time to time is good for the soul... :B - cummins2014ExplorerOverall I'm okay with my 2014 Ram . Only complaints is the mirrors ,and the Firestone tires. Tires are about half worn at just over 12K, will be lucky to get 25K out of them .
Will consider another Superduty in a couple years when they change the body style. Drove a 1999 Superduty for 16 years, big reason I changed brands from ford was I would be getting basically the same body style from ford . - RobertRyanExplorer

The only think "American" about the Ram is the outsourced Cummins engine.
Not really. Lots of US Made parts.
And so too for the 6.7 Powerstroke. I really think all this bickering over Mexico vs US is rather unnecessary. Nobody seems to make the same comments regarding all the vehicles made in Canada. You'd think Donald Trump was participating in this forum.
Don't care where my vehicle is made. As long as it is built well and reliable.
Very sensible reply. As an owner of any vehicle, that is the most important. Capabilities come second - Cummins12V98Explorer IIII guess I have owned them all. 69 ford F100 Ranger, 77 GMC shorty, 81VW PU, 86 Chevy C20, 98 RAM 12V auto, 98 RAM 12V 5sp, 11 RAM Dually, 15 RAM Dually. I liked all of them.
- ArcamperExplorerI am happy with my Ram, my Ford and my Chevy. Until one of them pays me to drive their vehicle my brand loyalty will remain at 0. I buy what I want and what drives the best to me at the time.

Your right Larry... cept if one could get a GM for the same deal I got my Rams at... I'd have a GM. Both are great trucks!
