- wing_zealotExplorerWould probably be a decent truck if they could just find some way to keep the body panels from getting big rusty holes in them.

Best truck I have ever owned, but it's getting replaced next week. 10 trouble free years and the KBB and NADA resell value is still outstanding.
Yes I had my eye on a 2007 model exactly like yours except it was a 6 speed manual. I could not justify the $40k that the dealer was firm on so I spent $20k more and bought the truck in my signature new. Someone paid the premium price for the 2007 though because it was gone a couple of weeks later.
You will be a happy camper when you get the new truck and see truly how much more refined they are than the 3rd gens! - jerem0621Explorer III have had two 1997 Ram 1500 club cabs 4x4's. One with a 318 and one with a 360. My two favorite trucks.
My dad has an 03 Cummins Ram 2500...220k miles... Loves it and told me that he intends to keep it as long as he is driving.
Thanks,

I like my 2014 Cummins/Aisin powered Ram MegaDually, my first Dodge/Ram truck. Last truck was an 1999 F250 SD V10. It just got old and worn out. Didn't like my Dad's 2008 F350 SD.
My Nexen's were in the back of the truck when I picked it up, replaced by MS2's. I still have a Blue Oval car in my garage and a GM SUV in the drive both have been fairly trouble free (talking manufacturer defect wise)
HA, I made it 200 miles and then went with the MS2's. Easily some the NEXEN's for $650. - ramgunnerExplorerWe have been very happy with ours. Oil changes, fuel and air filters, and lubricating the front drive shaft are the only maintenance items. Will do a drain and fill on the transmission at 30K miles. A couple of computer updates at the dealer - but no real warranty work. It tows very well, has plenty of power, and is the perfect truck for our application.
If I had to complain about something, it would be the General tires as others have pointed out. We had no balance or vibration issues with ours, but they do not last worth anything. - 45RicochetExplorerBest truck I have ever owned, but it's getting replaced next week. 10 trouble free years and the KBB and NADA resell value is still outstanding.

The Ram nugget has a Cummins ticking center.
That's a good enough reason to buy it for most people.
Nissan has also figured that one out. New Titan XD will feature a Cummins engine.
No se necesita una Poderbroma de la Ford.
Agreed!
I would not buy the 1/2 ton RAM with the "EGO" Diesel.
I would buy the Titan with the Cummins if I were in the market.
