This is our day Veterans! I'll raise a toast to us all later today.

This is yours truly in 1979 about a year after starting my enlistment in the USAF. I was riding the brakes on the H-3 while it was being towed. Ended up on the cover of the base newspaper.
This was in 1981 just before my enlistment ended. I was a SSgt then, and Crew Chief on two of these. One was a SAR bird, the other (this one) was used for mid-air retrieval of drones.
