Happyjac Quick Load tie downs

Anyone using the Happyjac cam action tie down's? Look to be quite similar to the Torklift Fast Gun's but quite a bit less costly.

I'm curious. I can get a set of 4 to upgrade my Happyjac screw turnbuckles for $119.00 direct from them.

The complete (4) tiedowns are less than 325 bucks, quite a bit cheaper than Torklift.
  • I appreciate everyone's feedback. I've had very good service from my HJ tie down system but their turn buckle system can be a PITA. In as much as I already have the lowers units, at $119.00 for a set of 4 tops, it's a pretty good deal I think. Guess I'll give them a try. For that price, I'm not out much if they don't work well.
  • I have a set I bought before purchasing our current TC. When I bought the TC the owner included fastguns.

I haven't traveled with them but did put them on the truck and compared with the fastguns.

My conclusion: The fastguns are polished to a chrome appearance. They both make it much easier to tie the TC down. If I had to buy another set, I probably wouldn't spend the extra money on fastguns.
  • I had a set that came with my TC. They were OK, bit of a pain to adjust if the camper wasn't in the same spot every time I loaded it into the bed (like that ever occurred) I find that the fast guns are much easier to re-adjust. but they both do the job. That said would I go back to the HJ's? no would be my answer
  • I think I'm going to order the upgrade set for $119.00 Sure look like FastGuns. I get tired of cannking the old style HJ's.
