Thanks for the input. Mixing the gas/oil is not big deal since we already have it in the little barn for the trimmer and blower. Noise is certainly not at problem at an RC field....can't hear yourself think anyway. My 2 major concerns are that this NOT turn into another "fix it every time" piece of equipment. And, you betcha, price is the other concern. RC can/does turn into a money pit easy enough without my help.
We have bought things at HF that were total junk, but they have accepted them back with no hassle. We bought a new 4 cycle for the lawnmower that has been totally trouble free and starts without any struggle....go figure. Best price going.
Definitely Honda is a good gen. We had one back in our boating days when we could afford the big boat and a $1000 gen to run the blender...no I'm not kidding. We were young and had more money than sense. The Champion looks like it might fill the bill and I need to get size info....we already have one of the contractor size, 4' x 4' or so, and that's way overkill for his needs. Not to mention hoisting it in and out of the truck.
I will keep an eye out on their sales and next trip that way, stop and take a look. Thanks for the info.
