I bought this 1 HP 4 in. x 6 in. Horizontal/Vertical Metal Cutting Band Saw years ago and I've never had any problems with it!... On a welding forum that I'm a member on, A LOT of people on there have the same one and haven't had any problems with it.
That band-saw has probably cut more metal than you have ever seen!, and not just ''thin metal'' either.... Sears has the same band-saw with a different paint job and the price is hundreds more!
I also bought this 16 Speed Floor Mount Drill Press years ago and haven't had any problems at all!... I know A LOT of members that have the same one and no problems with theirs either.
I have used it to drill through 1" metal with no problems at all... Again, Sears has the same drill press with a different logo and ''smaller motor'' for hundreds more!
I also use these Silver And Deming Drill Bit Set and use the 1" drill bit to drill through 1/4" to 1" metal and they're great!... If they get dull, then I use my Drill Doctor to sharpen them up and they're good as new!
Go price a 1" drill bit... I've seen some that were $40 some dollars and up for just one bit, and I got a 8 piece for $29.99 and it has a 1" drill bit!
On those 3 items I used a 20% off coupon for each item!... So, I didn't pay the full price!

I own a welding shop and I ''depend'' on the 3 items that I posted and they never let me down!... Only thing on the drill press or the band saw that could go wrong, would be a motor... I already have that covered because I have a friend that owns a shop that rebuilds electric motors for the coalmines in the area!
