Come to think of it, maybe to make coffee too, so i should probably look bigger.
Would it be silly to tap off the light? wiring not heavy enough?
MAYBE "to make coffee too"?!! :h Clearly you don't realize just how much power this is going to require ... heck, I've got a 1000 watt sine wave inverter wired to power my trailer "whole house" and with a single G27 battery as the source I can successfully power a small coffee maker BUT @ 12 vdc it's pulling close to 50 amps. :E Anything much more than that and it really struggles, not because I'm anywhere near the inverter's maximum rating but because that single G27 can only deliver so much grunt ... to improve on this I'd have to substantially upgrade the battery bank AND size up the 4 gauge cable I used for the installation. "Tap off a light"?!! ... not a chance.
i wasn't implying i would make coffee while watching tv while charging everything i own :S....i meant, i might want to run a coffee maker off the inverter at times, so i should probably look for something with higher wattage. I'm new to the idea, so I wasn't aware what gauge wire is needed. Running just a TV would seem fine on a small inverter.
