I run a BD Diesel exhaust brake on a 2006 Dodge 5.9 Cummins, manual trans. 265,000 miles, probly 50-60% towing, changed the front pads at 200,000ish miles, rears are OEM.
"2 speed axle" switch on the stick, also use the brake for fast engine warm up.
I have on board air compressor with a couple tanks for the rear air suspension so the brake uses that system for air supply.
With a BD or any valve in the exahust pipe type retarder it is critical to set the pressure control correctly for your engine as per the installation manual.
Haven't read up about the Banks equipment but it will be good I expect.
