We were camping at Red Rock Canyon there are no hook ups. Dead of winter.. Tent camper comes in around 9pm.. Starts one of those Champion gen... OMG! They ran the thing all night... No ranger around to complain to.... I did not sleep, wife can sleep next to a rail road track.hahahaaa. Next morning I went over and told them their Gen was noisy and about quiet time... They did not understand me or acted like they didn't. I saw why the gen was running... They had an electric heater.... GEEEZZZZZZZ..


We were in Crater lake Cg. in early spring.. Some guy 2 rigs away ran his honda all night. Kept me awake and others..I heard them run out of gas a couple of times. I figured he was running a heater. Next morning I went to the ranger and told them about the situation... They went to the guy and told them... The guy denied running it to them and me even though I saw him restart his honda at 2am, while standing there with an empty gas can.. He was going up to the gas station for gas...


I have many more stories about folks being noisy and have no regard for anyone but themselves!

Many of them are the folks in Class A's....

Ditto... I have 600w solar and a very expensive inverter. I can run my roof air off battery and the solar can actually keep up pretty well.

I get it And no at daylight I didn't restart the unit, another couple hours b4 I left wouldn't have made a big difference in the frig running

I had a ranger at Zion National Park beat on my door about 8 am. I'd entered the park, made coffee, and was sitting at my dinette. He primarily thought I was camping in the park, which of course I wasn't--I'd just left early so that I could start hiking earlier and used my generator to make coffee. He believed me and went away, but I found it a bit strange how aggressive he was at banging on my door just because he saw the generator outside--which was off and cooling down--since I have a battery, solar panel, and propane to cook/run fridge etc. with.
