The F450 cab/chassis is popular with haulers because of those big 12880 rawr numbers. In this line of work those are the money making payload. Works the same for carrying a heavy TC. Add a custom haulers bed and these trucks rear axle may run in the 3500-3800 lbs depending on cab or 2wd vs 4wd or add on fuel tank selections. This leaves the operator with around 9000 lbs of real world payload.
My neighbor lady runs 4500 cab/chassis Rams pulling her GN trailers. Max loads or light loads these trucks aren't for those with back issues especially on far out county farm/ranch roads.
