The ladder certainly is made to withstand the weight. I just wonder what the constant vibration with the extra weight would do to the ladder mounts.

A full 20 lb propane bottle weighs less than 40 lbs. I find it hard to believe 40 lbs would stress a ladder that can handle my 230 lbs going up and down. I do know I've strapped a duffel bag to the ladder that probably weighed at least 40 lbs and traveled across the country with no problems.
