The ladder certainly is made to withstand the weight. I just wonder what the constant vibration with the extra weight would do to the ladder mounts.

I do not recall the weight of propane or gasoline, but I think water is about 8 pounds per gallon. Propane and Gasoline are both lighter than water. I have been carrying 3-gallons (about 24 pounds) of gasoline on my ladder since 2005. I think a 5-gallon propane tank is just under 20-pounds. Literally thousands of miles. I have yet to have a screw come out. I see bicycles mounted on ladders, never seen a problem.
