My front axle, due to the dynamics of weight distribution of my camper, is too close to it's limit to carry anything cantilevered on the front, which, of course adds weight exponentially.. My next addition to my camper is to add a "basket" of sorts to the back bumper to hold firewood on one side and the BBQ on the other. In the meantime, I use a wire drawer from an Ikea stack-able sliding drawer unit, lined with a contractors 42 gallon trash bag to hold the firewood and all the dirt and mess it makes. I place it just at the back door, which cantilevers the weight behind the rear axle, alleviating some of the weight on the front axle. Works for me! :)
