Mine rubbed right through the top layer and caused water bubbling for about a 6 inch diameter around the damage.
I removed my antenna and base and installed eternabond after cutting back and squaring off all the edges. The antenna does not find any stations here anyway, even the antenna on a mast at my house only gets one station now.
