DK: O.K. I can see your mind is made up, so I won't confuse you with the facts.
Your posts indicate that you have nothing else to do but attack, so have at it.
I do not list all my assets, including the TC's I have owned in the past, in my signature. But then again, you should know that, as you know it all!
Good luck to you.
Hey DogFolks.
All people are welcome here, but TC owners often receive the same or worse treatment when venturing out in other forums. It is all good and I appreciate your comments.
DJ is one great guy. He can be blunt and to the point. That is one thing, IMHO, makes him one great person. You know where you stand and he would be the first person to extend a hand, if you were to fall.
In truth, I have a blog and often post on it. I have great respect for those that post to their blog daily, but it is not my speed. I like them in that you can invite friends and family to them, without the chance that they will see, or read comments from others. Of course you can change your settings to accept comments, if you prefer, on a blog.
Nothing beats the instant feedback one receives, here on this forum, by posting TR's or threads. Many have switched to blogs; TClife and Seldomseensmith, to name a couple. Some will write up a TR and then supply a link for a "Photo Dump" on a photo provider or blog. While this is nice, it does require going out of the forum, see, we are just getting too lazy to do an extra click on the mouse. Or the worst offense, these photo dumps often have every photo one takes, on their trip, without culling or selection and or comments of what the photo is or who is in it.
One thing posting on this forum does, it reaches many like minded TC'rs and the numbers visiting the TR posts, reflect it. If you watch the numbers of people that "Phone in" their TR by posting a link to their Blog or Photo Dump Site, they have very small visits counts. You can interrupt this, yourself. A great exception would be well known contributors like; Seldomseensmith.
When a post is made to the Form, by an OP, not just the OP is getting feedback, but hundreds of people just learning too, by visiting and reading the post. So it is often not just about the OP. It is greater than that. So when someone chooses to go the PM route, everyone loses. When posters take their discussion to PM, it is Bulls**t, IMHO. Post it here and everyone can learn from your discussion.
Many TC posters, bring their lives, death and emotions here, Whazoo, DJ and others. It is through this we become a "Virtual" family. Real people, not just names and a date joined. I hope you will keep posting here, Dogfolks, as I appreciated your suggestion, but prefer TR's kept here. Along with the Photos, narrations and sometimes locations.
Whazoo, and others, are amazing people and their TR's reflect them personally. If we were to lose these "Characters" here, I would be very sad and the TC Forum would be a vastly different place, due to this loss.
IMHO
