In a nutshell I just find myself wondering is a Ford or Chevy/GMC 8K better of a truck? I know many would (and probably will) argue that for same money it's a better truck. That 8K is just a HUGE chunk of $$. Essentially, it's the difference between a gasser Ford/Chevy or a diesel Ram. I haven't actually shopped that but as I type this that thought is obviously crossing my mind.
It is simply market pricing. The reality is Ram discounts their vehicles more off MSRP to get the sales where GM and Ford are not quite as high. But MSRP they are pretty comparable. Taking loaded one tons single rear wheels will get you MSRP of approx $73K for Ford, $68k for GMC, and $73K for Ram. These are the best of the best for each respective brands. I did not check lower trim levels.
That's a great point about the MSRP. I was more thinking about "out the door" price. Ram does seem to give some pretty deep discounts.
Along those lines I kept expecting to see crazy deals on leftover 2016 Ford & Chevy/GMC since there was a pretty big redesign on both for 2017. I really never saw it - at least not posted on the internet anywhere. I suppose if I were more serious and at the dealerships I might have seen more discounts.
