Heartland Mallard

My local Camping World has a line of travel trailers called the Heartland Mallard, but I can't find a website or any info on them. They don't even have the brochure yet. I like the M29 floorplan. Does anyone know anything about them?
  • On the whole, we really love our Heartland North Trail. I do think I'd really miss going back down to a base unit with standard counters and a top-mounted sink.

While the U-dinette works great for the two of us. For a family with a bunkhouse TT, I predict a lot of knee knocking in there.
  • Could be that Heartland is using this name to produce a unique model for sale exclusively at Camping World. It doesn't look like anything special. Probably like most other generic TT made in that style. I doubt that any of them are much different from each other. Heartland is noted for good customer service, Camping World not so much. I might be inclined to look elsewhere at a heartland product.

  • Mallard is a brand name that Heartland acquired from the now defunct Fleetwood Travel Trailer Division when they went bankrupt in March of 2009. At the time they aquired all of the brands that Fleetwood produced. They have marketed the Prowler brand since 2010 and must have just decided to now use the Mallard brand. I suspect that the Mallard line will be a step above the Prowler. The Mallard back in it's hay day made by Mallard Coach Limited was a top of the line unit before being acquired by Fleetwood back in the early 1990's.

Good Luck in your search and be sure to compare the unit to the current Prowler Line-up.
