Photomike,
Since my wife's mobility disabled and has been for years, vacuuming is very hard for her to do even with the small Dirt Devil vacs. So, I'm the one who does it and a lot of other tasks like major cooking and laundry. She can't even stand up long enough to fix a big meal in the kitchen so we usually do it together and it's fun! It only takes 5 minutes max in either the TC or the 5th wheel etc to vacuum it so I do it every couple days because I like and want it clean! Our home takes a lot more time with it's 2800 square feet being nearly all carpeted but still no problem as it's so much easier than cold hard noisy tile or linoleum etc. We even have fancy carpet runners on the solid teak in our kitchen. Always soft, quiet, and warm in the home, boats, and RV's when walking on it and the vacuum sucks it clean just like it does when used on the wood floor areas of the kitchen. Curbs "heat loss" where ever it's installed with so many other fine benefits. Our personal preference!
To me, a home or RV doesn't have to look like a show place for Good Housekeeping or Better Homes & Gardens with everything stowed out of sight and God forbid if your coffee cup is sitting for 15 minutes after you emptied it but there's simply no excuse for it being dirty anywhere and I make sure it isn't. Looking lived in is one thing but dirty is quite another!
I consider it an honor to do it for my sweet wife of 52-1/2 years and will gladly do it for another 52-1/2 years and beyond! We are very happy old farts!
