I drove my 2005 Duramax 2500 for 8 years as a daily driver. My son still drives it. I will just tell you I much prefer the 2017 F150 with the 3.5 EB that I drive now. Of course, I don't tow as much any more.
For towing: love the HD truck. It gets a little rough every day, though.
