I replace the OEM rotors and pads on all my vehicles.
For me the labor is free as I do it myself, part of the reason I do it besides knowing your brakes are now much improved.
I tend to drive more aggressive than some, so stopping my 13 Tahoe for example, warped the brand new dealer installed rotors in 3 days after I bought the truck.....and I was not abusing them.
Upgraded right away to better quality metal rotors (R1 concepts geomet slotted) then had them cryo treated. Pulled the OEM calipers while in there and installed Police package loaded high temp silicone calipers with Police pads. Big difference and able to handle the heat of towing down the steep mountains. So much smoother.
Corvette also, cryo treated with Hawk pads.
Only thing left is my F350 and I can feel the rotors when they get hot......ready to replace them real soon....just a more involved job.
BTW, Cryo treated rotors are supposed to last twice as long or more than regular rotors so if you get rotors check into it.
If your brakes are good, then just keep using them unless you notice fade or warp....NBS 4 wheel disc can handle it.....OBS Tahoe/Sub not so much with drums, they sucked, I have a 99 Tahoe.
