Before we go any further, just want to make sure that we are talking about the same thing. Can you give me the inside dimensions of your heki 2 ?
Is this the plastic tab that you are talking about?

If so, than you only need the upper section that is installed from the roof. The part that is installed from inside with roll in & out screen and shade I want to keep but you sure can have the upper roof part:C
It's strange that the plastic tab broke and not the flimsy black plastic handle. Every time I open or close this thing I can see the handle twist:R
