The Heki Midi is not an approved escape hatch, though you can get through it. My Bigfoot has an opening side window in the bed because of this. The Heki is a very flimsy bit of plastic. It is nearly criminal what Dometic USA charges for replacement parts. They are listed on German eBay at a small fraction of the cost. I have replaced the latches and side plates, need a new dome. At something like $40 each I will make my own hinges.
