Hello, Question on Radiance Trailers

Hello. New here (signed up today) and looking for information on travel trailers, especially Radiance brand.

I recently attended an RV show and it seemed like the best value when considering price and features was a trailer by Radiance. I admit I don't know much about trailers and would like to ask everyones opinion. If you had to say on a scale of 1 to 10, how good is Radiance brand? What other brands are good value? Thank you!
  • doesn't make a lick of difference. buy what works for you. a floor plan that works is priceless, budget you can afford matters. accept that there WILL be issues. All rv's have issues. some are small some are not. roll the dice or don't but PLEASE don't buy expecting a new rig to be like a new car. it will have problems and this is not specific to a single brand.
  • We have a Shadow Cruiser that is a sister brand to Radiance and is built the same but with less features(no king bed, no electric jacks,no solid surface counter). Had a few warranty issues initially that were easily handled. Fit/finish and quality seems as good or better than the competition such as Grand Design, Jayco,Rockwood.

Some friends liked our Shadow Cruiser enough that they bought one was well. The Cruiser line seems to be a good bang for the buck
  • don,t no a thing about them. but have learned over the years a lot of the time a small company is better than a huge company. the small guy pays more attention to detail and fit. the big guy don,t care any more ,just sends the mistakes down the line production is there main goal.
  • I just bought a radanince 28qd. There is not much about them. They are a small rv company. One user said there was a lot of bad reviews, initially I thought the same, but after review a little longer, I found 36 bad reviews. Now for me 36 out of thousands is not bad. I saw that the radiance has a lot of bells and whistles that other models did not. King bed, 40 in tv, 2 a/cs, the main one 15000 btu the master bedroom 13500 btu, 4 bunks in a real bedroom, with a door an electric stabilizer legs, bed rooms with real doors, outside kitchen, a 4 bunk room with its own dresser and solid door, and solid wood cabinets not particle board barrel room high ceilings, electric awning outside lighted speakers, electric front jack, lots of storage and a pull out bed with no bar hitting your back. All these reasons. I bought it and the price was outstanding. The only thing I did not like is the small black and gray tanks. and a smallish bathroom. So I took my chances. I took it out once with no problems and I have a spring break trip to Galvaston 500 miles one way. that will tell me if I got a good deal. I think I did. I also love the casement with the led lighting The tall ceilings and nice pantry. The trailer was 25,000. When I went to register here in oklahoma tag office said the lowest price I could use for tax purpose was 33,000.00 So I feel like I got a good deal. Come back in a year and ask the same question. I hope that helps, you make a decision. I ask the same question and got 2 replys. Both were pretty positive.
  • You think like I do. Always going to have a few upset people but when they all have same complaint then there may be an issue. We are looking at a new travel trailer to replace current one and have eliminated a few due to reviews. Good luck on your quest.
  • So I did some researching and the reviews for the Radiance (Cruiser RV) is not good. I understand reviews are usually made when the consumer is upset but the reviews are more lopsided than most other manufacturers. I will still wait on testimonials from anyone that may have one here, but it does seem like it was too good to be true.
