I also agree that your first wont be your last but I don't necessarily agree that you should go bigger with your first TT. There can be a learning process and I think its important to get exactly what you want at the time of purchase. Its hard to predict what you will want to change. Personally I had to grow into the TT that we currently have- it would never have been a good one for us as a first RV.
I hear you. The problem it would seem, is that the RV business has us over a barrel. You have all these lower-priced crappily built RV’s, and then you have Winnebago which is only 20% less crappy yet 40% more expensive. They stand alone in that category of “slightly less crappy”, because the next level of quality is 100%-150% more expensive (e.g. Airstream and arguably Lance).
It’s a tough one, but Winnebago is financially attainable for most people who can afford the hobby of RV’ing at all. It’s a bit more of a stretch, but I might sleep a little better knowing that I went with the next bump up in quality. I don’t know.
