Help, dead mouse in heater case!
Apparently, about a week ago a mouse got into my truck's heater case and died (2010 Dodge). The smell is terrible and his body is partially blocking the evaporator drain causing about 50% of the water...

You could just get a clothes pin, that should keep the smell down.
All kidding aside, after I found mice in my engine compartment, I went out and bought some "Cab Guard" and kept a packet in the top of the engine and found some 100% pure Peppermint Oil and put a little of that on about 4 cotton ball put thru out the engine area (I change out the cotton balls every 2 months) and both of these have kept the critters away.
