A picture might help.
I think you could find that ordinary wallpaper may not adhere to the luan which typically has a vinyl (or similar) coating. I think there was a post here recently where someone did that in their bathroom and it came off afterwards.
In our KZ in this photo, there is a factory applied decorative horizontal trim band over the luan plywood. Maybe you could get this from KZ (via a dealer). I'm guessing that it comes in a roll with a self-adhesive backing. Other TT manufacturers probably have something similar too.
