I read some of your text and noted you where thinking of using different grades of carpeting throughout your TT. I'd consider other flooring options like sealed cork or a good quality linoleum. Easier to clean, and still good feel for feet with the added bonus of noise control to counteract the unit's metal.
It's great to be able to fulfil a dream and I too will be watching your progress.
:E Thanks for the feedback. Well, I am going to use a linoleum to cover the wood floor when it's built. However, at some point after it's built I'll probably carpet some of it. (So I don't have to deal with floor mats and a cold floor.) Sealed cork? I'm not even sure what that is. (My bulletin board is cork and that thing is falling apart just hanging on the wall) Lino is easier to clean than carpet, but a small carpet is easy to replace.
