I am in the process of converting a 6x10 V-nose cargo trailer into a camper/motorcycle hauler (my needs are a little more modest than yours). Let me suggest you take a look at trailershowroom.com as they can customize to any level you want and you can pick it up at their factory. Definitely have the A/C and windows installed by them for the additional structural required. I am using a sofa/bed unit from blazinbelltech.com as it can even fold up against the wall for more floor space (I put added vertical support at the wall brackets so the wall doesn't take the vertical load). I had it in my van and it made a pretty comfortable bed. I am getting the rear ramp not only for loading purposes but also for ventilation and open-ness (I'm a little claustrophobic).
:E Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I have looked at Trailershowroom as well as others that do what they do. And I am going to do just what you say by having things like the windows, air, fans and some structural things done right at the factory. It will make it easier for the interior builder to finish. A folding sofa-bed?...eeek! I have yet to find anything that folds from a bed to a sofa that is comfortable to sleep more than a few nights on. (and I've been in over 1000 RV's at the shows) I'm starting with a good quality mattress and it's gonna feel like sleeping at home now. I'll be able to go to sleep without folding and without piecing together parts or assembling furniture. ...and be able to get in and out of bed without squeezing in between the mattress and the wall or climbing, using ladders or taking a running leap. Do you have any pictures of your build? This gal is interested.
