I run my Air COnditioner all the time from a 15A/20A 120VAC Receptacle.
Use a 10-gauge (10-3) extension cord for best results but you can use a 12 gauge (12-3) extension cord. Then use a RV30A-15A long Adapter from WALMART. DO NOT use the small round ADAPTERS - they will get hot and melt your 30AMP PLUG
The only drawback is to not have many other high wattage items turned on at the same time in the trailer otherwise it will trip the house/garage breaker.
Carry this setup with you on trips. When we visit the kids we use this to allow us to sleep in our trailer etc...
