But why than the 20 amp resets on front? What's purpose of that if they have to be turned off and restarted?
Not sure why you'd be so concerned about the "why" of it but if it's so important to you call Honda and ask. The fact remains it's clearly explained in your EU2000i owner's manual that if the genset goes into overload for more than about 4 seconds it's going to disable output to the receptacles and not reset until you stop the generator and restart it. Your owner's manual also says under "BEFORE OPERATION" -
Knowledge
Read and understand this manual. Know what the controls do and how to operate them."
Clearly you haven't so it's hard to argue that the gensets are at fault. :h
As for not being able to run a 13.5K BTU A/C on either a 15 amp drop at one's house or with a single EU2000i it must be true if you read it on the internet. :S However, MY answer would be a "qualified" RUBBISH ... "qualified" because over the years I've owned a Carrier AirV, DuoTherm BriskAir, Coleman Mach 3 Plus, and now a DuoTherm BriskAir II and provided certain conditions are met any of these A/C units will and have easily started and run from a 120 vac 15 amp drop I have in my workshop or either one of the two EU2000i gensets I have owned. Don't believe it? ... here's a series of 3 videos which illustrate just such a case. These particular tests were with the Mach 3 on our previous KZ Spree ... just the other day I added a hard start cap to the BriskAir II on our current Freedom Express and miracle of miracles - A/C starts and runs just fine off either that 120 vac 15 amp drop in my workshop or my current EU2000i, just as have all the other A/Cs I've previously owned. :B Some would call this unwise but if you understand the requirements AND the limitations, powering a 13.5K BTU A/C from either source CAN be done, safely and repeatedly.
