It always amaze how often people considering questionable project refuse to face the facts.
For me calculating the load would be the first thing as this is going to be main problem.
So doing quick math with assumption that truck has 15' between the axles.
For ball 5' behind axle the 650lb on the ball will make (15+5)/15x 650= 867lb on rear axle.
Adding 2' extension will make (15+5+2)/15x650=953lb.
So we are talking +- 90 lb load difference with extension.
Do you have the extra 90lb capacity? If you do, why risk trailer/camper damage?
