Well, in my honest opinion, I wouldn’t attempt 600# tongue weight on a 36” x 2” extension - but with so much at stake, far better not to guess tongue weight… This should be your starting point…The 600# is exponentially increased on the hitch as you extend it out 36”…Longer term, best to keep ‘the fun’ in the game, JMHO
