According to Weather Underground Albuquerque is currently at 63 degrees headed to the mid-70's and the wind is at 4 mph. If you consider that cold then IMHO you had better turn around and head back to Florida. The South Rim of the GC is nearly a thousand feet higher than the elevation in ABQ and is predicted to be 10 degrees colder than ABQ.
Having lived in ABQ for 5 years, what you are experiencing are very normal temperatures and wind conditions for this time of year.
