Alot of NM is high desert country with sea level around the 5000 foot mark. then the mountains go up from that... Used to do alot of DOD contract work around the T or C area and it gets down right cold there haha.... The mountain area around north AZ is pretty high up as well... Pretty darn cold... Right now you got all of this high wind blowing across the wide open areas. better hold down you hat with one hand...
