You probably will not like what I just bought, a Jayco Jay Flight 23RB. It's a "stick and tin", no slide model. Strictly old school. It is 27' 2" long, bumper to ball.
But compared to my previous trailer, it has tons more room inside. My old trailer was a Skyline Koala 21CS which was 24' 1" long, bumper to ball. the old one also has a shallow slide, but as also only 7' 6" wide.
My new traileris 6500# GVWR, 4758# shipped from the factory, and 1742# CC. It sits on ST205/75R15 LRD rubber.
We go camping this weekend for the first time, but we have spent the night in it in our driveway. For us, it seems to be a good compromise length, weight, interior space wise.
We shall see what the coming years prove.
But as others have already said, you need first to get the CC of your truck (yellow placard) on the driver side door of your TV. With a 1/2 you will almost always run out of it before you run out of tow capacity.
