It's asinine IMO to trade one half ton for another half ton when the sticking point is payload. Especially $2000 for 300 pounds!
Trade it for a 3/4 ton and be done with it to the tune of roughly #1200 to #1600 more payload along with all the other HD features that come with it. And the gas Rams with the coil link suspension ride fantastic!
