You should be fine. Folks find it hard to believe how fast the "stuff" adds up! The best thing you can do is put everything back in the trailer and take it to a scale.
I found it helpful to leave some time before you leave on a trip, call around and find a moving company, gravel yard, etc with a scale. Weight the truck with family and stuff, get a weight slip, then go back and get the trailer. Weigh the truck and trailer together, then the trailer by itself on the scale still hitched to the truck.
A little math will tell you everything you need to know from those 3 numbers. As I said it doesn't sounds like you;re overweight, but this is the only way to know for sure.
