My TT is rated to 7500 lbs. My axles are rated to 7000 lbs. so they expect 500 lbs on the tongue.
Now for the real world. Across the scales, loaded for the road, my TT weighs up to 6400 lbs. (1400 lbs. above the Dry weight). The axles carry 5650 lbs. Which is well below their 7000 lb. rating and the tongue weight is 750 lbs on the WD hitch.
My concern is not the axle load. It is the TV max cargo which limits my allowable tongue weight.
