The tabs do not push in at all. I have tried several times even using a piece of metal. Also, the tabs are spaced so far apart and there are 5 of them that it is not possible to do all 5 at the same time.
However, as previously stated, I did not try to remove the silver part only the clear part, so perhaps I was trying to remove the wrong part. I will try tonight.
