I ran Generals on my Excursion and was very happy with them. I had the HTS and hey performed great on the highway. But I would not want them in anything more than damp grass as it is a highway tire. For what you want I would go with the APT, a bit more aggressive while still good on the highway. There is also the AT which is similar to the BFG All Terrains which I ran while towing. They performed great while towing, but the life is shortened when towing because they get worked hard. And due to the more aggressive tread the towing gas mileage dropped by about .5.
